All-natural produce – Clean and safe ByNature

Our vegetables and fruits are farmed without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides and the like. The soil is clean and so is the water used for irrigation. You might say that they are made ByNature!

We partner with a small number of farms, but we do not farm ourselves and we cannot be present at the farms all the time. So how do we ensure that the produce complies with our standards? One of the most important elements of our quality assurance is to test the produce in a laboratory. We work with a handful of accredited and independent food labs in Vietnam.

The lab tests are comprehensive and cover five different chemical structures (categories) comprising more than a hundred individual compounds. Our standard is simple and clear. We have a zero tolerance for any of those compounds.

It is also important to ensure that there are no high levels of heavy metals. Long term exposure to elements like arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury can increase the risk of cancer and lead to toxicity, nutrient deficiencies and issues with the nervous system. There are already many risks of exposure to heavy metals in our daily environment. We certainly do not need it from our vegetables and fruits!

Finally, we test for bacteria and other microbes that can give you an upset stomach or even a bout of food poisoning. Who wants that!
